The atmosphere was cute, and the breakfast options were varied and satisfying. I did experience noise from neighboring rooms, made it a bit difficult to settle down at times, and the mattress could have been more comfortable. It's a good choice for a short stay with decent dining options.

Had great stay overall, gorgeous place and the weather was warm. The location was marvellous and lovely, in cab to town centre, in the very quite area. Also, Artshed Arts was 3 km away. They served outstanding food for breakfast.

Homely Touches and Friendly Staff
Particularly Jo at breakfast. The mattress could use some improvement, as it wasn't as comfortable as hoped.

Walls are a tad thin. Could use some additional soundproofing. The dining experience was marred by long waits for food, specifically a starter that didn't arrive for over an hour-if I'd been dining elsewhere, I might have left early. There were some discrepancies in the menu, as offerings didn't match what was advertised online, leading to confusion.

The Feathers provided a charming stay with its modern yet rustic decor. The room was clean and well-maintained, with comfortable amenities including an iron and a clean bathroom. The on-site pub had a good atmosphere, and the breakfast service was really good, with gourmet items like fresh bacon and sausages. The staff were attentive.
Pillows could be improved for better comfort.

This place feels super homely and the bathroom was really nice, everything was clean as a whistle! Getting fresh milk from the bar for tea was a sweet touch. Jo, the breakfast lady, was so thoughtful and even put flowers in our room after we told her about our son. The staff were all great.
Only a couple of niggles tho, could hear some noise from the other rooms , made it a lil hard to settle down. Could've done with a better mattress, it wasn't as comfy as i hoped.

The best thing about Feathers Inn is its relative proximity to Stansted Airport. If you are travelling by car and need a place to stay the night before/after a flight, it is a really nice place, lovely atmosphere, converted stables, plenty of character, and very affordable the night we stayed, with breakfast included in the price. It took a bit of effort to research/find the place as we dont have GPS. Also at a minimum 20 minute drive, which could be more during rush hour traffic, there were other places closer to the airport. However, in the end our little stay in Feathers Inn seemed a little too short! This is the kind of place myself and my partner like to stay in. If you have a good map/GPS system, would recommend.
